For me 2010 was a quick year. Something like a lightning bold; it came and went quickly.
Some major thing happened in my work, in 2010 I’ve started to develop Lotus Domino applications along with the Front-End/Web part. As a reason I was not getting enough time to post new things in Front-End development (HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript).
I am planning to write my thoughts more in this blog in the new year.
I wish everyone a very happy and prosperous new year 2011.

I’ve been doing lot of coding in Lotusscript recently. When I started Lotus development I didn’t like the language, platform, environment and the technology at all.
Now I feel that there were lot of reasons for that kind of thought at that time. At that time I was completely fascinated by JavaScript and various related technologies and want to spend my complete time on it. Still I love JavaScript and the front-end development (I miss it greatly) and trying to spend some time personally with the front-end part of the development.
But now I think I have started to like Lotus development even the platform can be unpredictable at times. There can be things that you’ll never get an explanation, which is completely out of our logic. But once you learn avoid these kind of things and move forward everything will be fine (from my experience).
I wouldn’t have liked this technology without the help of my colleague Denis. He is like a Lotus encyclopedia that can be explored whenever I stuck with something. Be it administration issue, programming issue, connection issues he was there for the help.
I am thinking about a day in which I’ll love the Lotus domino rather than like it. Hope the day will come soon.
I’ve been looking for a free PHP enabled site quite a while from now for showing some of my experiments. The free wordpress blog has its own limitations as a result not much can be done there. Last friday I’ve found one such free PHP host – Zymic and created a site.
I am planning to explore PHP, especially the OOP features of PHP and PHP Frameworks in 2010. I hope that this new site will help me in publishing my PHP experiments as and when it comes.

Recently I have been working a lot with JSON. I personally prefer this format over any other data format and try to use this one if that is possible. During one of my tests the result was a big chunk of JSON. The size comes around 800KB. As this was a browser based operation the size was quite big. The real trouble was from my server, which is a Lotus Domino Server the JSON comes as unformatted.
I was having difficulties in identifying the structure of the JSON and thought of format the JSON. Initially I have tried it with Einars’s Online JavaScript Beautifier. This is an excellent tool and I am a great fan of it. But this time the browser just crashed (Firefox 3.0.10) and I had to reopen it.
The reason was clear and I have tried to use Aptana Studio for the formatting purpose. I was pretty sure that Aptana will freeze and I was correct at that too. I was looking for a tool (non-browser based) for the JSON formatting and found this small tool – Tidy JSON developed in C# that does the formatting for me. This is a console application and you can redirect your formatted JSON to the screen itself, to the file or to the printer.
I’ve been going through a very hectic schedule in my work as a result I could not post anything here. As I have finished most of the critical parts of my work hopefully I’ll be able to spend some time here. But before anything I would like to read my feeds, which I’ve missed due to the schedule.
My name is Jayaprakash, am working as a Web Developer in Exor India. I am concentrating on the front-end engineering part of the web development and highly interested in JavaScript based development.
I thought of starting a blog so that I can share some of my ideas about the front-end development here as well as keep it as a information sharing hub on any topic, need not be front-end development related all the time.
I am from India to be exactly Kerala, known as God’s Own Country, one of the prime tourist place in the world, filled with greenery and backwaters. I am living with my wife and kid.
Hopefully I’ll post more about the JavaScript development soon.
